We are seeking a skilled and visionary full-stack software engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in shaping the future direction of our web development initiatives.

You will lead the strategic planning and execution of key aspects such as web application architecture, applied AI technology, large-scale frontend monorepo toolchain, and infrastructure.

As a full-stack engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing high-availability and stable web applications that meet the demands of global users.

Key responsibilities include participating in the development and implementation of TikTok's web gateway layer, designing and developing service middleware, implementing dynamic traffic scheduling, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Additionally, you will stay abreast of the latest web technologies, trends, and industry practices, evaluate and recommend new tools, frameworks, and methodologies to enhance the team's efficiency.

Furthermore, you will work collaboratively with performance engineers to optimize web applications for speed, responsiveness, and scalability, ensuring an exceptional user experience.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of extensive web development experience, with a strong focus on architectural design and strategy.
  • Expertise in web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript, and modern frontend frameworks (e.g., React).
  • Experience in system design for complex projects, proficient in design principles across various systems, with in-depth understanding of performance, availability, and security.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and a history of delivering high-quality software in an Agile environment.
