Junior Accountant - Financial Services

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated Junior Accountant to join our Financial Services team. As a Junior Accountant, you will be responsible for preparing financial statements, management reports and supporting schedules for clients.

You will also handle accounts receivable, accounts payable and general ledger entries. Additionally, you will support month-end and year-end closing activities, including reconciliations and journal postings.

Furthermore, you will assist with tax filings, GST submissions and compliance reporting. You will liaise with auditors, banks and external stakeholders when required.

As a Junior Accountant, you will maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records and documentation. You will provide support to clients and accounting team in ad-hoc projects and administrative tasks.

Engage in accounting-related consultations with clients through telephone or in-person meetings.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1 year of relevant working experience as an assistant accountant or in a related accounting role.
  • Major in Business Administration, Accounting or Economics is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel); experience with accounting software is an advantage.
  • Detail-oriented, well-organized, client-friendly, and able to meet deadlines.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively in a team.
  • Ability to work independently with a high level of accuracy and integrity.
