Principal Memory Circuit Design Engineer

This is an exciting opportunity to develop foundation IP for AI products, including memory compilers, logic cells, and custom macros on the bleeding edge of process technology.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess different memory architectures and identify tradeoffs.
  • Design and build memory or circuit blocks at the gate or transistor level.
  • Simulate and analyze circuit designs using transistor-level simulators.
  • Extract layout, perform post-layout simulations, and verification.
  • Floorplan physical implementation and layout integration.
  • Integrate characterization flow to extract timing and power information.
  • Develop scripts to automate characterization, simulations, and verification.
  • Specify and verify behavioral and physical memory models.
  • Document design specifications, behavioral descriptions, and timing diagrams.
  • Help specify silicon test plans and correlate silicon data to simulations.
Essential Skills:
  • Expertise in developing memory compilers and custom macros.
  • Deep understanding of transistor-level circuit behavior and device physics.
  • Knowledge of memory bitcell R/W margins and assist techniques.
  • Understanding of signal integrity, EM/IR analysis, and reliability.
  • Familiarity with behavioral and physical memory models.
  • Knowledge of DFT schemes and chip integration.
  • Proficiency with simulators, automation scripting, and tools.
  • Good communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Motivated, self-driven, and capable of multi-tasking.
