As a research institute at the forefront of innovation, ATMRI seeks a talented Research Fellow to contribute to its mission.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in human factors and experience in researching air traffic management systems. Key responsibilities include developing an assessment framework to evaluate controller workload and communication efficiency, analyzing user performance, and facilitating collaboration among experts.
Research Objectives:
- To develop an assessment framework for evaluating controller workload and communication efficiency under various staffing levels.
- To analyze and optimize user performance to ensure seamless transitions between staffing levels and effective use of air traffic management tools.
- To conduct qualitative and quantitative research to collect user feedback through bio-signal data analysis or questionnaires.
- To spearhead research initiatives, publish in leading journals and conferences, mentor students, and collaborate with academic and industry partners to drive the deployment of next-generation air traffic management systems.
Qualifications:
- A PhD degree in human factors, aerospace engineering, operations research, or a related field.
- Proven research expertise demonstrated through publications in SCI Q1 journals and air traffic management-focused conferences.
- Strong theoretical background in human factors for air traffic management systems.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, and MATLAB.
- Excellent English communication and writing skills for research purposes.
- Ability to work independently and as a team leader, managing multiple tasks across research and project objectives.
