Salary: $80,000 - $100,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Job Description:

We are looking for a highly skilled Baker to oversee and manage various sections of the baking area in our busy bakery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Bakery Management: Ensure seamless execution of menu items, maintain high-quality standards, and optimize production processes.
  • Confectionery Preparation: Prepare confectionery according to recipes, ensuring consistency and quality.
  • Menu Execution: Execute menu items with precision and attention to detail.
  • Ingredient Handling: Select, measure, and handle ingredients accurately and efficiently.
  • Inventory Control: Monitor ingredient levels and manage inventory effectively.
  • Quality Control: Conduct regular checks to ensure confectionery meets taste, texture, and presentation standards.
  • Sanitation: Maintain cleanliness and organization of the baking area and equipment.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • At least 2 years' experience working within the food industry as a Pastry Chef or relevant role.
  • A working knowledge of baking techniques and the pastry-making process.
  • Keen attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
  • In-depth knowledge of sanitation principles, food preparation, and nutrition.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think critically.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team.
