Job Title:

Principal Investigator

National dental research seeks an exceptionally accomplished Principal Investigator with a strong track record in oral microbiome research.

The ideal candidate will spearhead a high-impact research agenda aimed at deciphering oral-systemic health connections and innovating prevention, diagnostic and therapeutic modalities.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead a competitive, externally funded research programme integrating oral microbiology with multi-omics approaches
  • Pioneer insights into the associations between oral microbiome signatures and systemic health, develop novel prevention, diagnostics and treatment strategies
  • Build upon platforms for advancing oral health research
  • Synergize and/or collaborate with existing clinical and research faculty within the Academic Medical Centre
  • Demonstrate exceptional scholarly achievements through peer-reviewed publications, competitive grants, patents and other scholarly outputs
  • Supervise, mentor and nurture PhD and Master's students, dental residents/officers, research staff and clinical investigators

Requirements:

  • Ph.D. in microbiology or related fields
  • Excellent academic track record in scientific publications, competitive extramural grants, patents, supervision of PhD/Masters students, etc.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
