Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Protein/Gene Research Intern to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing experiments on mammalian cells, purifying recombinant antibodies and proteins, and synthesizing targeted genes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in biological sciences and experience with molecular biology techniques.
Key Responsibilities- Perform experiments on mammalian cells, including resuscitation, passage, transfection, and culture.
- Purify mammalian recombinant antibody and protein using various chromatography methods.
- Conduct concentration tests, SDS-PAGE, Western blot analysis, endotoxin tests, HPLC, and LC-MS tests of protein samples.
- Synthesize targeted genes and conduct experimental procedures such as PCR, ligation transformation, and plasmid construction.
- Adhere to safety regulations and product production requirements.
- Independently operate experiments, including gene synthesis, vector construction, and quality inspection.
- Analyze and process experimental data, prepare records, and reports.
- Manage instruments and conduct maintenance as needed.
- Report and solve production process issues, ensure proper experiment handover, and assist with problem analysis.
- Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences or equivalent.
- Familiarity with experimental operation of mammalian cell-culture, chromatography, SDS-PAGE, Western blot, LC-MS, HPLC, and other protein detection methods.
- Familiarity with conventional techniques of genetic engineering, such as DNA isolation and manipulation.
- Good troubleshooting skills.
- Good communication skills (verbal and written).
- Good team working skills.
We are seeking a full-time commitment of 5 months or above, starting from October 2024 or January 2025. Kindly include your available commitment period in your resume. Only candidates who can commit for the full duration will be considered.
Candidates who can commit for a year may have the opportunity to engage in rotational work within the protein department, subject to the availability of a replacement for the intern.
