Job Title

This role presents an exciting opportunity for a Specialist/Consultant-level surgeon who is trained in General Surgery and has expertise in Trauma Surgery, considering a lifestyle change overseas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contributing to quality clinical services by supervising inpatient care and providing specialist consultations
  • Performing General Surgery and Trauma surgery procedures independently
  • Participating in on-call rosters for emergencies and clinical service provision if required
  • Providing teaching and supervision to junior medical staff
  • Other duties as assigned by the Head of Division and Head of Department

Requirements:

  • Certification by one of the medical specialty boards of the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS)
  • Fellowship with the Hong Kong Academy or College (FHKAM, FHKAM etc)
  • Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT or CCST) awarded by a competent authority of the UK or Ireland
  • Certification by one of the Royal Colleges in Australia or New Zealand
