Credit and Accounts Specialist

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Credit and Accounts Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the company's credit and accounts receivable functions.

The Credit and Accounts Specialist will play a key role in ensuring timely payment from customers, maintaining accurate records, and providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Organize and conduct regular credit reviews with business units and sales departments to resolve delinquent accounts;
  • Follow up with customers to ensure timely payments and resolve any issues;
  • Maintain and update customer account information in SAP, including credit limits and account details;
  • Monitor daily sales transactions for credit holds and communicate with the sales department to address overdue issues;
  • Prepare and disseminate invoices, statements of accounts, reminders, and confirmation letters to customers;
  • Perform customer account reconciliations and confirmations;
  • Provide regular collections and AR status reports to management and headquarters;
  • Liaise with insurers to obtain trade credit insurance for high-risk customers;
  • Liaise with banks regarding bank guarantees, including letters of credit;
  • Verify supporting documents to ensure accurate billing to customers;
  • Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned by senior financial staff.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • At least 2 years of relevant working experience;
  • Working experience with letters of credit is desirable but not mandatory;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with customers and insurer tactfully and professionally;
  • Able to prioritize tasks, have a sense of urgency, and ownership of responsibilities;
  • Comfortable working closely with different departments simultaneously.
