Uniform Attendant Job Summary

The Uniform Attendant plays a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of uniforms and related supplies across the hotel. This position ensures that all staff members have access to clean, well-maintained uniforms for a professional appearance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Attend pre-shift meetings to receive uniform requirements and cleaning instructions.
  • Collections, sorting, and cleaning uniforms as per hotel standards.
  • Maintain inventory of uniforms and ensure sufficient supplies for staff members.
  • Inspect uniforms for damages and coordinate necessary repairs or replacements.
  • Distribute uniforms on time to the appropriate departments.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the uniform storage area.
  • Monitor uniform cleanliness throughout the day and perform touch-ups or re-cleaning as needed.
  • Handle laundry requests for uniforms, ensuring proper sorting, washing, drying, and ironing.
  • Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and detergents used for uniform maintenance.
  • Return uniforms to staff members in a timely manner.
  • Report any uniform-related issues to the Assistant Housekeeper immediately.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Physically fit due to constant movement and handling of heavy uniform items.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
  • Excellent organizational skills for managing uniform inventory and distribution.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills for working with colleagues across various departments.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Flexibility with working days and hours, including weekends and public holidays.
  • Positive service-oriented attitude with a focus on team collaboration.
