Job Title: Low Latency Network Architect

We are seeking a highly skilled Low Latency Network Architect to join our team at NTT DATA SERVICES SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing and implementing ultra-low latency network infrastructure, with a strong focus on performance management, service availability, and connectivity.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Architect and engineer ultra-low latency network infrastructure, including installation, monitoring, maintenance, support, optimization, and documentation of network hardware, security hardware, software, and connectivity.
  • Manage and participate in multiple projects, configuring and optimizing the network to ensure ultra-low latency is achieved for intraday trading and direct market access systems.
  • Provide exchange, broker, and managed service providers connectivity to support market data delivery and order execution.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of network infrastructure with trading platforms and systems.
Requirements:
  • 20+ years of experience in network engineering and project delivery, with a strong focus on ultra-low latency network infrastructure.
  • Strong knowledge of electronic and algo trading platforms, feed handlers, order routers, smart order routers, and FIX protocol.
  • Experience with exchange binary FIX protocols such as OUCH, ITCH.
  • Advanced knowledge of routing and switching protocols, including EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, NAT, IPSEC, and GRE.
  • Heavy experience with multicast protocols, including PIM, RP, MSDP, IGMP v2, and v3.
  • Experience with switching protocols, including STP, PC/vPC/MLAG, CDP/LLDP, QoS, HSRP/VRRP, VLAN/VxLAN, and spine and leaf infrastructures.
  • In-depth experience with Cisco Nexus network switching, routing hardware, and software.
  • Knowledge of network monitoring PCAP decoding tools, including Corvil, SFlow, and timestamping (PTP).
  • Knowledge of algorithmic/DMA/HFT and trading platforms, and the trade lifecycle.
  • Solid understanding of market venue, exchange protocols, and trading systems across multiple asset classes.
  • Strong scripting and automation experience, with a preference for Python.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to perform under pressure and detail-oriented.
