Job Description:

As a Process Operations Specialist, you will contribute to the success of our Life Science projects for clients by applying your operational knowledge and ensuring compliance with approved Standard Operating Procedures.

You will be responsible for performing sampling of products from process equipment in accordance with SOP, actively monitoring process trends, and responding to alarms observed on control panel DCS Delta V control system and on PLC HMI.

Additionally, you will provide inputs for investigation, impact assessment, and appropriate CAPA, ensure the completeness and accuracy of all records according to GMP standards, and perform routine equipment cleaning as per approved instructions and SOP.

Key responsibilities include maintaining the upkeep of the plant, performing regular housekeeping of all rooms, and ensuring issues are highlighted timely to maintain an audit-ready environment. You will also manage and ensure proper collection, segregation, and disposal of chemical waste in accordance with SOP.

A sound fundamental understanding of process safety, cleaning changeover recipes, and unit operations in API manufacturing is essential. Effective communication with team members on process status throughout the shift and during handover is critical.

The ideal candidate will have a strong problem-solving ability, good interpersonal and communication skills, and experience working in a chemical or GMP manufacturing environment. They will also have a NITEC/Diploma in Chemical Engineering or equivalent technical-related degree, and at least 1 year of experience with DeltaV and MES Systems.

  • NITEC/Diploma in Chemical Engineering or equivalent technical-related degree
  • At least 1 year of experience in working in a chemical or GMP manufacturing environment
  • Experience with DeltaV and MES Systems
  • Strong problem-solving ability
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
