Job Title: Digital Transformation Specialist

Role Overview

The role of a Digital Transformation Specialist in the construction industry revolves around driving the implementation of Integrated Digital Delivery (IDD) strategies across various stages of building projects, from design and construction to handover.

This involves leveraging expertise to maintain alignment between digital workflows and corporate objectives, ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Digital Transformation Responsibilities

  • Manage BIM execution and coordination among consultants, contractors, and subcontractors, ensuring they work towards common project goals.
  • Ensure consistent use of the Common Data Environment (CDE) and adherence to approved BIM Execution Plans (BEPs).

Coding & Automation Expertise

  • Develop scripts and automation tools using platforms like Dynamo, Python, or equivalents to enhance BIM efficiency and streamline data processes.
  • Customize digital construction platforms and dashboards to meet specific project needs.
  • Collaborate with IT and Digital teams to integrate APIs, data systems, and cross-platform workflows when necessary.

Project Delivery Support

  • Support project teams in adopting and integrating digital tools, including Revit, Navisworks, BIM 360, and Synchro into their daily operations.
  • Facilitate clash detection, 4D sequencing, and model-based data validation to improve delivery accuracy and coordination.

Training & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Conduct training and onboarding programs for internal teams and external stakeholders on IDD tools and workflows.
  • Serve as the primary liaison for IDD coordination with clients, consultants, and subcontractors.

Monitoring & Reporting

  • Track the implementation and performance of IDD initiatives, generating reports on digital adoption, project compliance, and efficiency.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and propose innovative solutions to enhance digital project delivery.

Requirements

  • A degree in architecture, civil engineering, construction management, or a related field is required.
  • Certification in BIM or other IDD-related training is advantageous.
  • Preferrable minimum 4 years of hands-on experience in integrated digital delivery in the construction industry, specifically on building projects.
  • Proficient in BIM and digital construction platforms such as Revit, Navisworks, BIM 360, and Synchro.
  • Strong understanding of CDE, BIM workflows, and 3D/4D/5D modeling.
