Our organization is seeking an experienced Nutrition Services Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide expert nutrition and dietetic services to patients, staff, and the wider community.

Job Purpose:

The role of a Nutrition Services Specialist is to deliver high-quality nutrition care and education to patients with a range of health conditions.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement individualized nutrition plans for patients with complex nutritional needs.

  • Provide education and training to patients, families, and healthcare professionals on healthy eating habits and disease prevention.

  • Liaise with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and ensure seamless transitions between hospital and community settings.

  • Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments and develop evidence-based treatment plans.

  • Prioritize and manage a caseload of patients with varying levels of complexity.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient progress and outcomes.

  • Participate in ongoing professional development and quality improvement initiatives to enhance skills and knowledge.

  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to design and implement nutrition-related research and quality improvement projects.


Requirements:
  • Degree in Nutrition or Dietetics from an accredited institution.

  • Registration as a Registered Dietitian (RD) or eligible for registration.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Familiarity with electronic medical records and other healthcare software.
