Signalling and Platform Screen Doors Project Manager

As a seasoned project manager, you will oversee the international contractors responsible for designing, manufacturing, installing, testing, and commissioning the Signalling and Platform Screen Doors systems in Singapore. This role demands strong leadership skills, with the ability to make informed decisions and drive projects forward.

The ideal candidate will possess a tertiary qualification in Electrical Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering. They should also have excellent project management, decision-making, and leadership abilities, as well as a positive safety culture. Good communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills are essential for success in this role.

A strong background in large-scale infrastructure projects, particularly in safety quality contract programme management, is highly advantageous. The successful candidate must be able to perform occasional night work, weekends, and public holidays. Familiarity with LAN, WAN, routers, switches, firewalls, network management, and security management is also required.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage international contractors for the supply, design, manufacture, installation, test, and commission of the Signalling and Platform Screen Doors systems in Singapore.
  • Involved in design review, supervision, equipment delivery, installation, oversees testing, commissioning.
  • Familiar with local safe work practices, developing a good understanding of system design required to work closely with contractors managing monitoring project deliverables ensuring safety quality progress of project works reviewing managing project risks cashflows issuance engineering instructions assessment projects variations payments claims.
Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualification in Electrical Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering.
  • Strong project management, decision-making, and leadership abilities.
  • Positive safety culture.
  • Good communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Good knowledge of LAN, WAN, routers, switches, firewalls, network management, and security management.
  • Good written verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills to coordinate and manage relationships with multiple stakeholders.
  • Team player, analytical, resourceful, result-oriented.
  • Relevant experience in large-scale infrastructure projects, safety quality contract programme management an advantage.
  • Ability to perform occasional night work, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Good appreciation of constraints interface requirements civil trackwork electrical mechanical works.
