Automation Systems Engineer Position

This role offers a unique opportunity to work on the design and development of automation systems for the semiconductor and electrical manufacturing industries. Our teams are involved in the creation of complex automation machines that power modern life.

The position involves working on system architecture, electrical schematic design, wiring diagrams, IO maps, PLC code, panel layouts, and PCB board design. The successful candidate will also be responsible for creating electrical bill of materials (BOM), spare part lists, installation instruction manuals, maintenance guides, and performing machine setup, IO checks, and troubleshooting of electrical systems.

Circuit simulations/analysis, design, development, testing, and debugging of circuit boards and embedded firmware are also key responsibilities of this role. The engineer will create PCB board BOMs, Gerber files, assembly drawings, schematic drawings, technical design documentation, simulation/analysis reports, and test reports. Additionally, they will manage all electrical material including PCB boards according to machine production assembly schedules, perform firmware and PLC code maintenance, bug fixing, and enhancements, provide technical support and training on electrical systems of automation machines, and supervise the workmanship of electrical technicians and contractors to ensure build quality of automation machines.

To be successful in this position, the ideal candidate should have a degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or Diploma with at least 2 years of experience. Proficiency in EPLAN software and simulation tools such as PSpice, LTspice, and TINA is essential. The ability to develop PCBs with analog/digital circuits, lighting, RS232, RS485, I2C, SPI, USB, and Ethernet, as well as microchip assembler, PLC programming, and C/C++ programming languages proficiency, is also required. Experience in designing to comply with safety and regulatory standards such as CE, UL, VDE, CSA, and SEMI-S2 is desirable.
