Position Overview: The incumbent will oversee and uphold a comprehensive set of accounts to guarantee that all Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), General Ledger (GL), and Tax operations associated with Accounting and the General Ledger are executed proficiently. It is essential for the incumbent to possess a strong understanding of accounting principles, demonstrate agility, meet stringent deadlines, and focus on ongoing process enhancements for operational efficiency.

  • Account Management: Manage full sets of accounts, encompassing AP, AR, GL, Tax, and additional functions.
  • Month-End Closing: Execute the month-end closing process to ensure the timely submission of precise financial reports.
  • General Ledger Functions: Conduct GL functions including monthly balance sheet reconciliations, fluctuation analysis, and the clearing of aged balances.
  • Asset Management: Oversee Fixed Assets, Intercompany transactions, Inventory, and other related areas.
  • Tax Responsibilities: Handle tax functions such as Goods and Services Tax (GTS), withholding tax, corporate tax, and more.
  • Management Reporting: Prepare management reports and conduct fluctuation analysis with accuracy for headquarters.
  • Financial Performance Analysis: Provide insightful evaluations of business financial performance, including profit & loss and balance sheet accounts, as well as Budget versus Forecast.
  • Data Analysis: Perform in-depth analysis of financial data, identify trends, and recognize key performance drivers.
  • Team Management: Supervise and assess the performance of the Shared Service team.
  • Audit Preparation: Prepare and submit pre-audit requests as required by internal and external auditors.
  • Internal Control Support: Assist the Finance Team in maintaining a robust internal control system and timely updates to finance policies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Documentation: Create desktop procedures and document existing processes.
  • Continuous Improvement: Support the Finance Team in driving value-added projects aimed at identifying and implementing ongoing process efficiencies.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Undertake other ad-hoc projects and duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in managing full sets of accounts, management reporting, GL accounting, or similar roles with accounting and analytical experience.
  • Experience in IT and project-oriented industries (with Point of Care revenue recognition) is advantageous.
  • Prior audit experience with a Big 4 firm is a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and SAP.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey financial information effectively to non-financial managers.
  • Highly analytical, organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of working independently under tight deadlines.
