Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Avionics Repair Technician to join our team. As a key member of our repair shop, you will be responsible for performing routine tasks such as repair, modification, calibration, troubleshooting, and testing of In-Flight Entertainment Systems.

You will work closely with our engineering team to ensure that all repairs meet our high standards of quality. Your excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail will enable you to identify and troubleshoot complex electronic systems, and your strong communication skills will allow you to effectively collaborate with colleagues and clients.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of avionics equipment, including circuit boards, components, instruments, and mechanical assemblies. You will also be responsible for generating repair cost quotations and recording information on all repairs and discrepancies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform set-up, calibration, testing, and troubleshooting of circuits, components, instruments, and mechanical assemblies
  • Perform proper repairs and/or modifications of all aircraft electronics equipment and some test equipment at board level and component level
  • Hand set-ups for digital tests, recognize failures and set-up problems, and determine the need for appropriate verification
  • Act as a technical resource in the analysis of failures when required
  • Position and align parts and components, secure them in place or remove them using appropriate methods including soldering, crimping, fastening, gluing, etc.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Diploma or higher Nitec/Degree in Engineering/Electronics Technology/Aerospace Technology or equivalent
  • At least 1 year of working experience in the related field
  • Preferably, those with working experience in troubleshooting electronic products
