Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Assistant Head to join our Strategic Planning & Engagement Department. The successful candidate will assist in the oversight and execution of NIE's strategic planning and engagement processes, provide secretariat support for senior leadership meetings, and contribute to the development and implementation of the NIE strategic plans.

  • Assist in the conceptualisation, organisation, and management of strategic engagement activities for senior leadership members and staff.
  • Support specific corporate initiatives arising from the NIE Strategic Plan, including steering committees, taskforces, programme reviews, and other strategic projects.
  • Contribute to the management of the office, including budgeting, asset management, and physical space allocation.
  • Collaborate with the HoD in formulating and executing the Annual Work Planning and Budgeting Cycle.
Requirements
  • A University degree.
  • Minimally 3 to 5 years' relevant working experience with a strong interest and track record in strategic planning, organisational development, and/or copywriting and editing.
  • Excellent conceptualisation and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written communication and copywriting skills.
  • Highly meticulous and able to analyse and make sense of large quantities of information.
  • High proficiency in MS Office and document/information management systems.
  • Strong team player with a pleasant disposition.
  • Self-starter, adaptable to change, and able to work under pressure and meet tight timelines.
  • Willingness to learn and develop capabilities, and to acquire and share new knowledge.
  • Values and attributes demonstrating integrity, professionalism, and a service mentality.
