We are seeking a skilled Marine Surveyor to join our team at DIRECT SEARCH ASIA PTE. LTD. As a key member of our operations, you will conduct H&M casualty inspections on various types of vessels and communicate with insurers, brokers, and owners as required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough H&M casualty inspections on all types of vessels to assess the extent of damage.
  • Communicate effectively with Insurers, Brokers, and Owners to gather information and provide updates on inspection progress.
  • Precisely prepare comprehensive reports detailing the nature, extent, and cause of damage, ensuring accurate records of all inspections performed.
  • Assist in estimating the total cost of repairs for damaged vessels.
  • Conduct loss prevention and MWS surveys to identify potential risks and areas for improvement.
  • Maintain meticulous records of all inspections performed, adhering to strict safety standards throughout the process.
  • Travel extensively to survey sites around Asia as required.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A Class 1 Motor or Steam Unlimited Certificate of Competency, or equivalent superintendent experience.
  • A Bachelor's Degree in marine engineering, naval architecture, or a related field.
  • A minimum of one year of professional experience as an H&M surveyor.
  • Exceptional communication skills (written and spoken) in English.
