Job Description:

As a skilled Carpentry Specialist, you will be responsible for creating structures from wood, plywood, laminates, and other materials. Your key tasks include:

  • Measuring, cutting, assembling, and installing wood products to create structures such as doors, windows, staircases, furniture, cabinets, partitions, flooring, and roofing.
  • Operating woodworking machines and applying finishes for durability and aesthetics.
  • Overseeing and coordinating carpentry works on-site or in the workshop, ensuring timely completion and quality standards are met.

In addition, you will:

  • Read, interpret, and work from blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
  • Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with design, safety, and building codes.
  • Supervise, train, and monitor junior carpenters and apprentices.
  • Allocate tasks, ensure proper use of tools and equipment, and provide technical guidance and problem-solving support.
  • Estimate materials, tools, and labor required for projects and manage inventory of materials and tools.
  • Report progress, issues, or delays to project managers and maintain high standards of craftsmanship and durability in all works.
