Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team at Koh Brothers Building & Civil Engineering Contractor (PTE.) Ltd.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement cost estimation and budgeting strategies to ensure project profitability.
  • Manage tender and contract processes, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry standards.
  • Monitor and control project costs, identifying areas for cost savings and value engineering opportunities.
  • Lead and mentor junior staff, providing guidance and support to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure effective stakeholder management and client satisfaction.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications such as RICS or SISV accreditation.
  • Significant experience working as a Quantity Surveyor, including several years in a senior or managerial role within the construction industry.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale construction projects, overseeing cost management processes, and leading QS teams.
  • Advanced knowledge and proficiency in cost estimation, cost control, and contract administration processes.
  • Proficiency in using quantity surveying software and tools such as CostX, Bluebeam, or other similar applications.
  • Knowledge of construction contracts in Singapore (SIA, REDAS, PSSCOC, etc.) including FIDIC.
  • Strong leadership skills to effectively lead and mentor junior staff.
  • Experience in stakeholder management, including client interactions, subcontractor negotiations, and collaboration with project teams.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to convey complex technical information clearly and effectively.
  • Strong negotiation skills to handle contract variations, claims management, and resolve disputes.
  • Advanced analytical skills and strategic thinking to identify cost-saving opportunities, value engineering options, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Ability to analyze project data, financial reports, and performance metrics to make informed decisions and recommendations.
  • Adherence to ethical standards and professional integrity in all aspects of quantity surveying practice and company policy.
  • Compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and codes of conduct in the construction industry and company policy.
