Senior Manager, Capital Management Opportunity

This leadership role presents a compelling opportunity to manage a high-performing actuarial team while driving strategic capital initiatives that support the financial soundness and long-term vision of the organization.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a broad range of capital-related activities, including stress testing, solvency forecasting, capital planning, and financial condition testing.
In addition, the role will provide strategic support for initiatives aimed at enhancing capital efficiency, such as reinsurance structuring, and asset allocation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a team of actuaries responsible for capital projection activities, including MAS stress testing, ORSA stress scenarios, solvency forecasting, and internal capital target setting.
• Oversee key deliverables such as the Local Capital Plan, Financial Condition Testing, internal capital target setting, and reports to governance committees.
• Manage ongoing RBC2 solvency projections and produce ad hoc capital reports to support senior management decision-making.
• Drive capital efficiency initiatives, including the evaluation of financial reinsurance, hedging strategies, and strategic asset allocation.
• Lead the annual business planning and KPI forecasting process, aligning actuarial assumptions with strategic objectives.
• Provide leadership, coaching, and professional development for actuarial team members, promoting a high-performance culture.

Qualifications and Experience:

Fellow or nearly qualified actuary of a recognized actuarial body.
A minimum of 10 years of actuarial experience, with demonstrated expertise in capital management or valuation roles.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a track record of delivering complex projects under time constraints.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with internal stakeholders and external regulators.
Proven leadership capabilities, including team management and talent development.
Proficiency in actuarial software.
A collaborative and independent working style, with the ability to interface with various departments and regional offices.
