Job Overview:

The role of a Planning Engineer is pivotal in driving the success of construction projects. Our ideal candidate will work closely with the Planning Manager to ensure seamless planning functions, monitor site progress, and develop comprehensive construction programmes for medium to large-scale projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the Planning Manager to oversee all planning activities
  • Maintain daily site monitoring to identify potential issues and optimize project progress
  • Prepare critical metrics, including histograms, tables, S-curves, resources logs (Manpower, Materials, Equipment)
  • Develop detailed construction programmes for complex projects
  • Evaluate project delays by closely monitoring actual progress and identifying areas for improvement
  • Compile regular progress reports for stakeholders, including in-house teams, owners, and consultants
  • Document significant events relevant to contractual claims/obligations
  • Coordinate effectively with Supervisors and Managers to incorporate relevant information impacting project schedules
Requirements:
  • Possess a Degree in Civil Engineering with at least 3 years' experience in construction planning and programme coordination
  • Demonstrate aptitude for planning roles
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Project and Primavera P6 software
  • Exhibit meticulous attention to detail, high motivation, independence, and excellent team spirit and interpersonal skills
