Urban Climate Specialist
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated specialist to join our project on urban heat island mitigation through greenery-based solutions.
The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting multi-scale, multi-physics numerical simulations to evaluate the cooling effects of urban greenery and develop a modelling platform to assess and optimize these benefits in Singapore.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct complex numerical simulations using environmental simulation tools such as UrbanMicroclimateFoam, OpenFOAM, WRF/PALM, or similar.
- Publish research findings in top-tier academic journals and present at conferences.
- Organize and assist with technical workshops, networking events, and conferences locally and internationally.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Fluid Dynamics, Atmospheric Sciences, Urban Climate, Architecture Engineering, Building Science, or related fields, with a focus on Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD).
- Knowledgeable in urban climate modelling.
- Experience with environmental simulation tools such as UrbanMicroclimateFoam, OpenFOAM, WRF/PALM, or similar.
- Highly motivated, able to work independently, with good time management and planning skills.
