Job Role

We are seeking talented engineers to join our team in developing a high-performance, real-time distributed infrastructure for live streaming on TikTok.

As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing robust, efficient technology products that cater to the needs of 1 billion users.

Main Responsibilities

  • Lead large-scale technical projects, collaborating with product managers to deliver a seamless live streaming experience.
  • Develop high-quality technology products that meet the needs of our users, ensuring high availability and scalability.
  • Contribute to engineering strategy, tooling, processes, and culture, shaping the future of our platform and driving innovation.
  • Research and apply cutting-edge domain and technical knowledge into products, staying ahead of the curve in the ever-evolving tech landscape.

Requirements

  • A world-class engineer with extensive experience in designing and implementing scalable, highly available, distributed systems.
  • Proficient in at least one of the following languages: Go, Python, Java, C++.
  • Strong understanding of computer architecture, data structures, and algorithms, as well as knowledge of common databases and messaging frameworks.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders and drive collaborative efforts.
  • A commitment to ongoing learning and professional growth, staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.
