Singapore Institute of Directors (SID) is a national association for company directors, formed in 1998 to uplift the directorship profession and champion good governance. Our membership comprises board directors, company leaders, and professionals with an interest in corporate governance.
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Corporate Governance Specialist to join our Accreditation & Professional Development team. In this role, you will support the Vice President in developing accreditation frameworks, standards, and tools. You will also manage a team of Accreditation Executives and oversee all accreditation-related activities. This is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on the directorship profession and contribute to the growth of SID as a thought leader in governance.
About the Role
As a Corporate Governance Specialist, you will be responsible for:
1. Maintaining existing frameworks and standards related to SID Accreditation, including the SID Director Competency Model, SID Accreditation Framework, SID Disciplinary Framework, Mutual Recognition Agreements, and Micro-credentialing for Speciality Directorship Badges.
2. Leading assessment technology matters, such as remote proctoring systems, digital badging, item banking, preparatory courses, to support SID members in their accreditation journey.
3. Working with Subject Matter Experts to deepen and expand the Accreditation Question Bank based on the SID Board Director Competency Model, applying sound item development principles in alignment with educational measurement best practices.
4. Developing a pool of item developers and faculty for sustainable question bank maintenance and content development.
5. Developing the data analytic capability of the accreditation team for optimizing accreditation and competency-related data.
6. Managing a team of Accreditation Executives and overseeing all accreditation-related activities, including point-of-contact queries, service interventions, project management, and quality assurance.
7. Synergizing the accreditation framework with the Head of Professional Development to curate required professional development support for candidates pre and post-accreditation.
8. Providing secretariat duties to SID Committees and/or Chapters, supporting the agenda and activities of the Committee and/or Chapter, and strengthening internal functional processes.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need:
1. A degree in Psychology, Education, or Learning & Development, or equivalent.
2. 3 to 5 years of working experience, with at least 1 year experience in developing assessments, certifications, or maintaining exam operations.
3. Prior knowledge and experience in implementing and managing remote assessments, preferably for adult courseware of an institute of higher learning, educational, or professional body, will be an advantage.
4. Possess competencies in project management, standards setting, and product development for training-related products or programs.
5. Familiarity with JASP or SPSS will be advantageous.
