Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized professional to join our editorial team as an Assistant Editor. This is a full-time position based in Singapore, where you will play a crucial role in supporting the publication process of academic research journals.

Your primary responsibilities will include organizing peer review for submitted manuscripts, coordinating editorial decisions, and handling email communication between parties involved in the publication process.

You will work closely with other members of the editorial team and production team to ensure that scholarly articles are accurately edited and published according to tight deadlines.

  • Support the editorial process for academic research journals in your domain of expertise.
  • Organize peer review for submitted manuscripts and coordinate editorial decisions.
  • Handle email communication between the parties involved in the publication process.
  • Collaborate with other members of the editorial team and production team.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

Advanced knowledge of MS office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Strong English skills in written and spoken language

Ability to multi-task, attention to detail

Organizational and time management skills

Strong communication and coordination skills

Prior research and/or lab experience in relevant academic fields

Familiarity with the peer review process in academic publishing is preferred

Professional experience with scholarship publishing is an advantage

Previous editorial experience is desirable but not required. Fresh graduates are also welcome to apply.
