Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement data governance frameworks, including data quality standards, metadata management, data lineage, and data classification.
  • Lead efforts to leverage data governance tools and technologies to support data management and compliance efforts.
  • Collaborate with business units and IT teams to assess data management needs, identify data quality issues, and implement corrective actions.
  • Partner with legal, compliance, and risk management teams to ensure data governance practices adhere to local law and regulatory guidelines.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to a team of data governance professionals, fostering a culture of data stewardship and accountability.
  • Drive initiatives to improve data literacy across the organization and promote awareness of data governance principles and practices.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information management, business administration, or related field.
  • Min. 8 years of experience in data management, data governance, or related roles within the financial services industry, and at least 2 years in a leadership position.
  • In-depth knowledge of data governance frameworks, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
  • Proven experience developing and implementing data governance strategies, policies, and procedures.
  • Strong understanding of data quality management, metadata management, and data lineage concepts.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across organizational levels.
  • Strong leadership capabilities, including experience leading and developing teams.
