Financial Markets Expert

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Markets Expert to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end management of periodic reviews for Private Banking and Wealth Management.

As a key player in our Financial Markets division, you will serve as a liaison between client relationship teams and AML operations. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring completeness, accuracy, and compliance with internal standards and APAC regulatory guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as an expert on Know Your Customer (KYC) policies and procedures, supporting Client Advisors and Market Team Heads with complex due diligence cases
  • Manage the entire KYC process, validating client documentation, conducting screening, and securing necessary approvals from Compliance stakeholders
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues to address volume surges in Periodic KYC Reviews and work closely with the Front Service Office in Singapore
  • Support a culture of teamwork and collaboration focused on goals and delivery
  • Adhere to high standards for timeliness and accuracy of AML case completion
  • Work closely with Relationship Managers and other front-office teams to guide them through KYC requirements and explain policy rationale
  • Contribute actively to KYC process improvement initiatives, offering ideas to drive greater efficiency and quality
  • Establish relationships with key stakeholders across departments
  • Assist in tracking refresh populations in partnership with the coverage team
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Strong knowledge of banking and finance principles, with at least 1+ years of hands-on experience in KYC operations, specifically within Private Banking or Wealth Management
  • Expertise in AML CDD policy standards and industry practices, with excellent stakeholder management and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to communicate complex information clearly and concisely, with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience working with multiple teams and collaborating with colleagues at various levels
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to prioritize tasks and manage competing demands
Additional Requirements:
  • Proficient in using KYC-related platforms and tools, with strong willingness to adapt to new technologies and systems
  • Understanding of operational aspects of banking products and services, including wealth management solutions
