Job Description

As a senior specialist in information security, you will play a pivotal role in identifying and mitigating cyber threats by developing and optimizing detection mechanisms.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in threat detection engineering, with experience in leading the design and development of defensive tools and procedures to optimize threat mitigation and improve security posture.

Key responsibilities include analyzing vulnerabilities and threats, engineering detection rules and signatures to identify malicious activity, maintaining and optimizing SIEM use cases, and performing regular tuning and testing of detection systems based on evolving threat landscapes.

Additionally, the successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing security automation workflows on SOAR to enhance threat response efficiency, collaborating with Threat Analysts to create actionable detection methodologies, and staying current with the latest threat intelligence and security trends.

Supporting security incidents involving malware, data breaches, and other cyber threats will also be an essential part of this role, utilizing Generative AI and Automation for efficient analysis and containment.

Moreover, the individual will be expected to update the organisation's threat profile and detection capability/coverage matrix with Threat Analysts, provide regular reports on threat detection activities, metrics, and KPIs, collaborate with Regulators and Government Agencies on cyber operations projects, and detect, monitor, analyze, and respond to cyber threats 24x7 using SIEM and other security tools.
