Woodworker Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced woodworker to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for precision cutting, fabricating, and installing wooden structures according to specifications.

  • Job Responsibilities:
  • Reading blueprints, drawings, and sketches to comprehend project requirements fully.
  • Taking accurate measurements and calculating the size and amount of material needed.
  • Cutting, shaping, and smoothing lumber and other materials as per specifications.
  • Building window frames, doors, staircases, and frame buildings using raw materials or pre-constructed items.
  • Laying out floorings, roofings, or drywalls ensuring they are levelled and compatible.
  • Carving and assembling furniture, cabinets, shelves, and other items and installing them where designated.
  • Inspecting sites and conducting repairs or maintenance.
  • Constructing scaffolding and other construction structures.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a woodworker with hands-on expertise in working with carpentry materials.
  • Excellent understanding of woodworking techniques and methods of installation and construction.
  • Proficient in using electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools (powered saws, hammers, rulers, etc.).
  • Able to read technical documents and drawings.
  • Willingness to follow safety guidelines at all times.
  • Good physical condition and endurance.

Key Performance Indicators: Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
