At CHONG DE CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRIES PTE. LTD., we are seeking a highly skilled Construction Project Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our project management team, you will be responsible for overseeing and guiding a team of project QSs, assisting in preparing cost budgets, and tracking changes in design/construction work.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Deputy Contracts Director/Contracts Manager and/or QS manager in overseeing and guiding a team of project QSs
  • Assist in preparing cost budget, prepare cash flow for the project, track changes in design/construction work, and adjust budget projections accordingly
  • Assist with an extension of time and cost claims
  • Work closely with the project team to ensure timely award of subcontractors and suppliers
  • Communicate with the technical team to ensure that quotations comply with specifications and the method of construction
  • Produce quantity measurement within the targeted timeline
  • Prepare and call quotations, including analyzing and evaluating for costing of tender; or negotiate and award of subcontracts for the project
  • Review and prepare agreements for award to subcontractors and suppliers
  • Certify and evaluate progress work done, including contract administration for variations for both subcontract and main contract works.
  • Assess and submit monthly progress claims, and recommend subcontractor's monthly progress payment
  • Finalise subcontract and main contract's final account.

Requirements:

  • Negotiation skills

  • Knowledge of construction and quantity surveying principles
  • Excellent administration and estimation skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Strong communication and procurement skills
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD

  • Sourcing and cost control skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Civil engineering degree or equivalent
  • Quantity surveying certification or equivalent
