Heavy Duty Equipment Service Professional

This is a challenging role for an experienced service professional to provide top-tier maintenance and repair services for heavy duty equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform field and workshop service tasks with precision and quality, ensuring complete customer satisfaction.
  • Offer exceptional after-sales support to guarantee seamless equipment operation post-delivery.

Technical Expertise & Troubleshooting:

  • Diagnose and resolve complex machine breakdowns and operational issues using advanced technical knowledge.
  • Collaborate with the service team to identify and resolve intricate problems through detailed fault analysis and troubleshooting techniques.

Sales of Service Contracts & Maintenance Services:

  • Promote and sell comprehensive service contracts, machine repair, and maintenance services to customers, highlighting their value and benefits.
  • Ensure timely offer of service contracts within one month of equipment delivery, facilitating seamless customer experience.

Customer Engagement & Site Visits:

  • Plan and conduct regular customer visits, providing detailed visit reports to management to track progress and customer satisfaction.
  • Organize product demonstrations based on customer needs and requests, fostering positive relationships and driving sales.

Reporting & Documentation:

  • Ensure accurate and completed service reports are obtained from customers after every service job, maintaining a record of all service activities.
  • Keep precise records of spare parts usage, inventory levels, and service activities to optimize resource allocation and minimize downtime.

Equipment & Asset Responsibility:

  • Take full responsibility for issued service tools, equipment, and company vehicles, adhering to strict safety protocols and best practices.
  • Maintain proper use, maintenance, and safekeeping of all company assets under your care to prevent damage or loss.

Requirements:

  • Strong educational foundation in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent technical discipline).
  • A minimum of 4–5 years of hands-on service experience in heavy-duty equipment, demonstrating expertise and competence.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical diagrams and hydraulic schematics to diagnose complex problems efficiently.
  • Demonstrated understanding of mechanical and electrical systems related to industrial or heavy machinery, enabling effective problem-solving.
  • Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to resolving issues promptly.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a service team in field environments, prioritizing collaboration and teamwork when necessary.
