Job Title: Animal Rehabilitation Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Animal Rehabilitation Manager to join our team at the Centre for Animal Rehabilitation. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supporting the outreach duties related to animal welfare and behaviour rehabilitation, and improving standards of the dog training industry in Singapore.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and review policies and programmes related to animal welfare and behaviour.
  • Design and implement behaviour modification plans for dogs undergoing behaviour rehabilitation.
  • Oversee a team in carrying out behaviour modification training for dogs at the centre.
  • Collaborate with international and local behaviour experts to develop and organise training courses, talks and workshops for staff, volunteers, industry and the public.
  • Organise engagement sessions with industry stakeholders.
  • Plan and execute school learning journeys to the centre, and host student projects at the centre to spread key messages on animal behaviour and training.
  • Organise and carry out publicity for animal rehoming activities such as meet and greets, interviews, screening of potential owners and post-adoption support.
Requirements:
  • Degree in animal behaviour, animal welfare, psychology, biology, or related fields is preferred.
  • Relevant working experience in animal training, behaviour rehabilitation, animal care, handling and husbandry is preferred.
  • Scientific understanding of canine and feline behaviour, principles of learning and experience in writing animal training plans is preferred.
  • Strong management and coordination skills, independent, self-motivated, meticulous and enthusiastic.
  • Able to work effectively with others in a team environment.
  • Good written/ oral communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office Applications.
  • Able to execute physical activities with animals and work closely with them on a daily basis.
  • Required to work on weekends on a rostered basis.
