Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor vessel operations for compliance with Company policies and procedures.
  • Develop, implement and revise practical procedures to meet HSQE Objectives and Policies.
  • Ensure fleet vessels comply with SOLAS, MARPOL, STCW, MLC regulations, SIRE and Oil Major requirements.
  • Prepare and participate in Audits as per TMSA requirements.
  • Verify cargo and/or ballast plans for compliance with safety aspects.
  • Review and verify passage plans.
  • Arrange and coordinate inspections for SIRE Vetting Inspections status of fleet vessels.
  • Liaise with Masters to keep vessels ready for PSC and FSC inspections.
  • Coordinate preparation, approval and maintenance of procedure manuals/plans as required by related international conventions.
  • Coordinate flag registrations and takeover or hand-over of vessels.
  • Coordinate issuance and amendments to all vessel's trading & statutory certificates.
  • Liaise with Charterers/Commercial Operators for pre and post fixing related matters of the voyage.
  • Ensure vessels are complying with Charter party requirements of Time and Voyage Charters.
  • Liaise with crewing department to ensure Officer's Matrix are met as per Oil Major requirements.
  • Assist vessels for compliance with International Environmental regulations.
  • Update Owners/Charterers the CII rating time to time.
  • Assist HOD in any Marine, Operation and Safety matters.
  • Follow up with technical department, safety department and vessels for safe execution of all hot works outside designated areas.
  • Participate in company emergency response and drills.
  • Investigate incidents and accidents, make reports on time.
  • Conduct internal audits (ISM, ISPS, MLC, Mooring, Cargo and Navigation) and safety inspection on board fleet vessels.
  • Ready to travel overseas to attend the vessels.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • Master Mariner with COC-1 license for unrestricted capacity.
  • Sea going experience in various types of tankers, particularly in Crude Oil Tankers, in senior positions.
  • At least 12 months of sea time as Master in tankers is preferred.
  • Shore Experience as Marine Superintendent for Tanker Operations for 2 years is required.
  • Good knowledge of regulatory, class requirements and international standards for Tanker operations.
  • Must be conversant with ISM/MLC/SIRE/CDI and TMSA requirements.
  • Familiar with SIRE 2.0 requirements.
  • Certification for ISM, ISPS & MLC Internal Auditor.

Desirable Skills:

  • Ability to work effectively within multicultural office and shipboard environments.
  • A good team player.
  • Always ready to work after office hours, if required, to support vessel operations.
  • Familiar with Microsoft software of Word, Excel, Power points etc.
