Key Roles and Responsibilities

The Operations Executive plays a key supporting role in ensuring the smooth running of daily bakery operations.

Job Summary:

This includes food preparation, product handling, deliveries, ad-hoc purchasing, and general logistics and housekeeping tasks across production, retail, and storage locations.

Responsibilities:
  1. Food Preparation & Handling

  • Wash and prepare ingredients for baking, including cutting apples and separating bananas.

  • Ensure proper handling and storage of ingredients according to hygiene standards.

  • Assist bakers or kitchen team during peak periods as needed.

Logistics & Delivery

  • Deliver baked goods and supplies between production kitchen, retail outlets, and external locations.

  • Transfer ingredients, materials, and stock between point A & B (e.g., warehouse to kitchen).

  • Handle loading and unloading of goods with care to avoid damage.

Purchasing & Errands

  • Conduct ad-hoc purchasing of ingredients, packaging, or supplies from supermarkets or suppliers.

  • Source specific ingredients (e.g. bananas) or packaging materials as required by the team.

  • Liaise with suppliers or retail partners during pickups and drop-offs when needed.

General Operations Support

  • Maintain cleanliness of work areas, kitchen spaces, storage rooms, and delivery vehicle.

  • Assist in basic housekeeping tasks including sweeping, mopping, and waste disposal.

  • Support with simple maintenance, tidying, and arranging supplies or packaging areas.

Inventory & Event Support (as needed)

  • Assist with stock-taking or re-stocking of shelves and storage areas.

  • Provide operational support during special events, pop-ups, or external sales booths.
