Project Director - Building Construction

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Project Director to lead our building construction projects. This is a challenging role that requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and excellent communication skills.

About the Role

The Project Director will be responsible for overseeing the entire project lifecycle, from planning and design to execution and completion. This includes managing project teams, developing and implementing project plans, monitoring progress, and ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in building construction, with experience in leading complex projects. They will possess excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with clients, stakeholders, and project teams.

Requirements
  • Masters degree in Architecture or Civil Engineering.
  • At least 25 years of professional experience in building construction.
  • A minimum of 10 years' demonstrated experience in a project management capacity (Project Manager, Construction Manager, Technical Manager) on construction projects for a main contractor within the Southeast Asian region.
  • Comprehensive understanding of all project phases, from budgeting and scheduling to risk assessment.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with clients, senior management, and project teams.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and logical decision-making skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of relevant legal regulations and safety standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, effectively prioritizing tasks to meet tight deadlines.
  • Proven ability to work well under pressure.
