The Economist is seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Development Engineer in Test to join our mobile squad. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining all test automation activities, leading working with stakeholders to ensure mobile test automation is executed as per the strategy, and monitoring test coverage of all test automation activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain test automation frameworks for native mobile applications
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define functional and non-functional test requirements
  • Lead the development of testing strategies and plans to ensure high-quality software delivery
  • Monitor and report on test coverage and quality metrics
  • Provide technical guidance and support to team members on testing and test automation

Requirements

  • Expertise in test automation for mobile applications
  • Experience with native mobile test automation frameworks such as Compose UI Test and XCUITest
  • Strong understanding of the test pyramid and its application in mobile testing
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
