As a medical documentation expert, you will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and completeness of patient information.

Responsibilities include reviewing and analyzing medical records to accurately identify procedures and diagnoses. You will also be responsible for applying relevant laws and regulations effectively.

Key tasks involve analyzing medical record documentation, assigning appropriate ICD-10-CM and CPT codes, conducting MIPS reviews, and assisting with provider QA and coding management.

You will also document coding errors, participate in client/provider audits, provide feedback to coders, and maintain confidentiality as per HIPAA guidelines.

To excel in this role, you should possess strong communication skills, time management abilities, and organizational skills.

Previous experience in medical billing and familiarity with 2023 MDM Guidelines are preferred.

Additionally, you should have a deep understanding of CPT/ICD-10 coding systems and interpret documentation accurately.
