About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Oracle Consultant to join our team at IDC Technologies (Singapore) Pte. Ltd. as a key member of our Oracle Tuxedo middleware development team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Investigating and Resolving Production Issues

Investigate and resolve production issues related to Oracle Tuxedo middleware platform, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal system performance.

Troubleshooting Technical Issues

Troubleshoot technical issues reported by customers, providing timely and effective solutions to ensure customer satisfaction.

Developing Scripts and Integrations

Develop scripts for verifying the correct operation of integrations, ensuring seamless data exchange and system integration.

Performing Data Imports and Exports

Perform data imports and exports, and maintain third-party integrations, ensuring data accuracy and system integrity.

Designing and Developing Distributed Applications

Design and develop distributed applications using Oracle Tuxedo middleware platform, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.

Writing Efficient Code

Write efficient, scalable, and reliable code in programming languages such as C, C++, Java, or COBOL to implement application logic.

Configuring and Managing Oracle Tuxedo Environment

Configure and manage the Oracle Tuxedo environment, including setting up application servers, managing resources, and optimizing performance.

Collaborating with Cross-Functional Teams

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, system administrators, and database administrators, to gather requirements, design application architecture, and ensure seamless integration.

Developing and Maintaining Documentation

Develop and maintain documentation for applications, including code comments, technical specifications, and system configurations.

Performing Unit Testing and Debugging

Perform unit testing, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure the applications meet functional and performance requirements.

Conducting Performance Tuning and Optimization

Conduct performance tuning and optimization of Oracle Tuxedo applications, ensuring optimal system performance and efficiency.

Staying Up-to-Date with Oracle Tuxedo Updates

Keep up to date with the latest Oracle Tuxedo platform updates, technologies, and best practices in distributed application development.

Providing Technical Support and Guidance

Provide technical support and guidance to other team members and stakeholders, ensuring seamless knowledge transfer and system maintenance.

Participating in Code Reviews

Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and software development best practices.

Requirements
  • Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

Experience

Proven experience in developing distributed applications using Oracle Tuxedo middleware platform.

Skills

Strong proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, Java, or COBOL.

Knowledge

Familiarity with middleware concepts, distributed computing, and service-oriented architecture (SOA).

Soft Skills

Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills, strong communication and teamwork skills, and ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment.
