We are seeking a highly skilled Cook to join our culinary team.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing food stocks, preparing and serving meals, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen, and planning activities for trainees. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work as part of a team to deliver high-quality service aligned with the association's mission.

Responsibilities:
  • Food Management: Manage food stocks, checking quantity and quality of food items regularly.
  • Cooking and Serving: Prepare, cook, and serve meals for student daily snack time, ensuring all meals meet high standards of quality and presentation.
  • Kitchen Maintenance: Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and safety standards in the kitchen at all times.
  • Trainee Supervision: Plan, manage, and direct activities of trainees to clean the kitchen, promoting teamwork and efficiency.
Requirements:
  • Culinary Skills: Prepare, cook, and present food to high standards, using fresh ingredients and adhering to food safety guidelines.
  • Personal Qualities: Have good personal hygiene, be physically fit, and communicate effectively in simple English.
  • Social Skills: Display compassion and patience when interacting with students, prioritizing their needs and well-being.
  • Experience: Prior experience working with individuals with special needs is advantageous but not essential.
