Predictive Maintenance Data Scientist

Overview
We are seeking a skilled Predictive Maintenance Data Scientist to join our team at Careers@Gov. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in developing predictive algorithms and prognostics for decision support in areas of predictive maintenance of railway and digital asset management.
Salary
The estimated salary for this position is $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
Job Description
As a Predictive Maintenance Data Scientist, you will be responsible for developing and implementing machine learning models to predict equipment failures and optimize maintenance schedules. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design and implement data-driven solutions that improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our asset management processes.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A tertiary qualification in Electrical, Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, Sustainable Infrastructure Engineering or equivalent;
* Strong writing, presentation, coding, communication and interpersonal skills;
* Experience in IT application, data analytics/machine learning, system engineering or railway engineering using data;
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
* Solid understanding of statistical analysis and predictive modelling/machine learning;
* Knowledge of data management, data engineering and data visualization techniques;
* Experience with implementing MLOps in an enterprise IT system;
