Senior Distributed System Observability Specialist

A multinational enterprise at the forefront of hospitality and entertainment is seeking a seasoned professional to join its high-performing IT team in Singapore. This pivotal role supports enterprise-scale IT service management transformation initiatives and ensures robust system visibility across complex, distributed infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Architect and maintain observability solutions across distributed systems and microservices.
  • Build and optimize telemetry pipelines for logs, metrics, traces, and events.
  • Partner with DevOps, SRE, and application teams to enhance system reliability and performance.
  • Lead the development of proactive monitoring, alerting, and incident response strategies.
  • Drive observability best practices in support of IT service management modernization projects.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years in observability, monitoring, or site reliability engineering roles.
  • Proficient with tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, OpenTelemetry, Datadog, or equivalents.
  • Experience with IT service management platforms like ServiceNow, BMC, or Jira Service Management.
  • Solid scripting skills (Python, Bash) and exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and a collaborative mindset.
