Job Title: Outfitting Engineer

Seatrium Limited is seeking a highly skilled Outfitting Engineer to join our team. As an Outfitting Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful installation of outfitting scope of work in our marine engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Liaise with the Engineering team to clarify technical drawings, layout, and client specifications.
  • Prepare planned schedules for logistic and manpower arrangements under the supervision of senior team members.
  • Perform on-site supervision to ensure outfitting installation work is safely and appropriately executed.
  • Coordinate with other production team members, subcontractors, and consultants to resolve technical issues on-site.
  • Liaise with QA/QC, owners, statutory, and classification authorities for completed outfitting installation inspection and acceptance.
  • Perform on-site checks on recorded checklists and generate reports on work progress for senior team members' review.
  • Maintain a high level of efficiency, ensuring good housekeeping, resource optimization, and effective material management.
  • Continuously improve and implement safe work environments, efficient methods for reducing project man-hours, costs, and improving schedule.
  • Identify, troubleshoot problems, and perform root cause analysis study on recurring cases of defects.
  • Work with other Production team members as required to achieve functional objectives and deadlines.
  • Provide support in various projects as required to promote cross-functional learning and development, balance team workload, and enhance overall team productivity.
  • Incorporate HSEQ work cultures and best practices to ensure the successful implementation of HSEQ management systems.
  • Maintain and execute HSEQ procedures, policies, and programs, and drive continuous improvement through risk-based thinking and analysis.
  • Support the conduct of HSEQ management system audits to ensure compliance with legislations and company policies.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marine/Mechanical Engineering or related engineering disciplines.
  • 3 years of working experience in planning and construction of outfitting scope of work in the oil and gas industry.
  • Experience in engineering outfitting activities in marine engineering projects.
  • Excellent proficiency in English (written and spoken).
  • Knowledge and experience in the interpretation of outfitting diagrams, general mechanical drawings, and its elements to deliver class-approved documents and drawings.
  • Knowledge of engineering analysis techniques and tools/software applications (i.e., 3D modeling software such as Cadmatic or Aveva Marine, etc.).
  • Familiar with material and equipment used in outfitting design.
  • Some knowledge and experience in site inspection standards, class rules requirements, and industry codes.
