Automation Control Specialist Job Description

The primary goal of this role is to spearhead automation change controls, conduct HAZOP reviews as a Subject Matter Expert, develop Standard Operating Procedures and Job Aids, and apply root cause analysis and troubleshooting techniques.

This position requires an expert in automation engineering with extensive experience preferably from manufacturing or pharmaceutical industries, showcasing expertise in DeltaV, Yokogawa DCS or Siemens systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead automation change controls ensuring seamless implementation and minimal disruption to operations
  • Conduct thorough HAZOP reviews as a Subject Matter Expert to identify potential risks and opportunities for improvement
  • Develop clear and concise SOPs and Job Aids to facilitate efficient process execution
  • Apply advanced troubleshooting techniques to resolve complex technical issues

Ideal candidates will possess 8+ years of hands-on experience in automation engineering, along with strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and the capacity to work effectively in a team environment.
