Job Description:

The Senior Civil Engineer will be responsible for managing design, budget, schedules, quality and personnel as part of the integrated project execution team for a Land Transport Authority (LTA) project.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Day-to-day management of an LTA construction project;
  • Oversight of site quality and safety issues;
  • Determination of non-conformances on works;
  • Liaison with the Contractor to rectify non-conformances and document them properly;
  • Ensuring decisions on site issues are conveyed to the Contractor within a reasonable timeframe;
  • Ensuring works are carried out according to specifications, drawings and programme without compromising on quality and safety;
  • Management of quality and safety matters and suggesting quality improvement measures for implementation on site;
  • Supervision of the installation of instrumentation and monitoring of instrumentation;
  • Leadership of a team of supervisors to ensure full-time supervision of works on site
  • Assistance in the operating of the Project Management Control Centre (PMCC)
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements & Person Specification:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil & Structural Engineering or Construction Management;
  • At least 5 years' relevant experience in a project/construction environment including transport/tunnelling/underground structures for Senior Engineers;
  • At least 2 years' relevant experience or fresh graduates considered on case-by-case basis for Project Engineers;
  • Previous experience working on Land Transport Authority (LTA) projects in Singapore advantageous;
  • Proficiency in relevant software programmes for planning and project work advantageous;
  • Experience in C&S, geotechnical tunnel or viaduct design also advantageous;
  • Strong leadership qualities with good analytical and communication skills required.
