BIDEFORD HOUSE PTE. LTD., a leading hospitality company, is seeking an exceptional IT System Lead to spearhead its technology strategy and operations.

 

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will lead the Information Technology team to ensure efficient, secure, and compliant IT systems across the hotel, aligning with the company's policies.

 

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Planning & Implementation: Develop, implement, and manage the hotel's IT systems to maximize efficiency and effectiveness, ensuring alignment with overall hotel objectives and company standards.
  • Stakeholder Liaison & Systems Enhancement: Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their IT needs, evaluate existing systems, recommend enhancements, and provide regular progress reports.
  • Security & Compliance: Perform regular testing, updating, and application of security patches, ensuring all IT operations comply with legal requirements and internal policies, including maintaining a robust disaster recovery plan.
  • Project Management: Lead IT projects to address client department needs, including creating detailed project schedules and timelines.
  • Technology Updates: Stay updated on the latest IT developments in both hardware and software, attending user group meetings and reporting on emerging issues or opportunities.
  • Policy & Procedure Management: Ensure IT system policies and procedures are current and comprehensive, with regular reviews and updates, especially regarding health and safety regulations.
  • Communication: Communicate IT-related issues, changes, and updates to end-users via appropriate channels, including team meetings.
  • User Documentation: Develop, maintain, and update user manuals for all hardware and software systems.
  • Supplier & Contract Management: Collaborate with the Purchasing team to oversee supplier contracts, ensuring optimal service delivery.
  • Team Training & Development: Provide ongoing training for IT team members and establish a realistic training schedule, managing team performance through regular appraisals.
  • Database Administration: Oversee the administration of multi-user databases, ensuring data consistency and integrity.
  • Budget Management: Manage the IT department's capital and revenue budgets in close collaboration with the Financial Controller.
  • Performance Reviews: Conduct regular performance reviews of team members, fostering continuous improvement and development.
  • Strategy Development: Lead the development, implementation, and review of IT systems and strategies in consultation with Department Heads/Directors.
  • Standards Compliance: Ensure IT department operations align with company product specifications and Leading Quality Assurance standards.
  • Systems Knowledge: Maintain comprehensive knowledge of all hotel systems to ensure their optimal utilization.

 

Requirements:

We are looking for a highly skilled IT professional with excellent leadership and communication skills. The ideal candidate should possess:

  • Strong technical expertise in IT systems management.
  • Leadership experience in IT teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with relevant industry standards and best practices.
  • A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

 

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per annum
