Job Title: Funeral Service Coordinator

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate individual to join our team as a Funeral Service Coordinator. This role involves providing exceptional support to families during their most difficult times, ensuring that funeral services are conducted with dignity and respect.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work independently, and possess strong interpersonal skills. They will also be proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and have experience in administrative tasks such as paperwork, permits, and documentation.

In this role, you will be responsible for handling administrative tasks, maintaining accurate records, acting as the primary contact for next-of-kin, and managing facility operations. You will also oversee daily operations, ensure compliance with policies and regulatory requirements, and track operational performance to minimize disruptions.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Handle administrative tasks such as paperwork, permits, and documentation
  • Maintain accurate records for collection of deceased patients and body parts by next-of-kin (NOK)
  • Act as the primary contact for NOK, providing compassionate support and coordinating with funeral service providers
  • Manage and review feedback/incidents, ensuring corrective actions and follow-up
  • Oversee facility management to ensure the mortuary is clean, respectful, and well-maintained
  • Monitor day-to-day operations, ensuring compliance with policies and regulatory requirements
  • Track, monitor, and review operational performance to minimize disruptions

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience
  • Diploma in any discipline
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
