Senior AI Researcher Position at MSD International GmbH (Singapore Branch)

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a pioneering team that pushes the boundaries of AI research and its applications. You will work closely with our data science and AI community to explore cutting-edge AI models, methods, and frameworks that drive business value and growth.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in AI research, machine learning, and software development. With at least 2 years of experience in model training and deployment, you will be proficient in GenAI, deep learning, NLP, CV, and ML frameworks. Your ability to communicate complex technical concepts to senior stakeholders and collaborate with cross-functional teams will be essential in this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform in-depth research, assessments, and technical evaluations of AI models, methods, and frameworks to solve complex problems or derive benefits for our AI capabilities.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and create working proof-of-concepts for use-cases by exploring applications of AI to internal problems and datasets.
  • Proactively scan and stay up-to-date with AI research landscape and emerging trends.
  • Support the creation of intellectual property through AI-driven innovations.
  • Develop and implement methodologies, benchmarks, and toolkits for different AI approaches.
  • Collaborate with data science and AI community on joint projects and investigations.
  • Work within an integrated manner with teams operating within agile frameworks.
  • Assist in technical training and knowledge sharing.
  • Senior members will have leadership roles in one or more AI domains and mentor junior team members.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Computer Science, or related field. A PhD is highly regarded but not necessary.
  • At least 2 years of experience working with model training and deployment.
  • Proficiency in GenAI, deep learning, NLP, CV, and ML frameworks.
  • Hands-on code development experience and familiarity with Python scientific computing stacks.
  • Understanding of artificial intelligence research landscape and ability to review research publications.
  • Ability to communicate technical viewpoints to senior stakeholders with succinctness and clarity.
  • Experience developing algorithms in Python or C/C++. Knowledge of transformer-based models is a plus.
  • Domain knowledge in pharmaceutical business areas such as research, clinical, manufacturing, commercial, and corporate functions is highly regarded.

Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of SGD $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, commensurate with experience, plus additional benefits including health insurance, retirement plan, and professional development opportunities.
